Coaching and Mentoring Services for IT Leaders
The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Coaching is generally a short-term engagement with the specific objectives of helping employees grow into new roles, develop new skills and improve their performance.
Mentoring, on the other hand, is a long term informal advisory and counselling relationship to guide and support a person in their career development.
Both coaching and mentoring are important to maximize the contributions of employees and improve their well-being. Coaching and mentoring are important activities to retain high potential employees and minimize disruptive risks that are caused when good employees leave an organization.
Roles and Responsibilities May Include:
- Coaching and mentoring by seasoned lT leaders who have served in c-suites in many industries and have first hand experience in developing leaders
- 1-on-1 or group coaching
- Coaching could turn into long term mentoring relationships
- Assist with large scale change due to M&A or workforce reduction
